About The Aldingbourne Trust
The Aldingbourne Trust is a registered charity that was formed in 1978 by a group of parents who wanted the best support for their sons and daughters. Today, the Aldingbourne Trust provides a range of services for more than 550 people with learning disabilities, including autism, Aspergers Syndrome, Downs Syndrome and for people with physical disabilities.

We have a team of experienced staff who, from our various locations, offer personal support that includes creative arts, supported living, outreach staff and vocational and therapeutic training.

We’re all committed to unlocking the potential in people with learning disabilities and helping them to lead fulfilling, enriched lives.  This may include voluntary or paid work, living independently (or with appropriate support), trying new opportunities, following their interests and learning by doing.

We provide opportunities for people aged from 18 years to develop a range of skills, to work with people as individuals in the local community and to encourage them to make decisions about their lifestyles and futures. This is all achieved through a range of day, residential, training and support opportunities.

Much of our work is carried out behind the scenes, but we have three social enterprises, the Aldingbourne Country Centre, the Acorn and Number 64, where we welcome visitors and depend on them to support our valuable work.
