The Aldingbourne Trust Senior Management Team
We’d like to introduce you to our Senior Management Team who play such a vital role in the Aldingbourne Trust operation.
Sue Livett – Managing Director
Sue joined us in 1997 as General Manager and was appointed Managing Director in 2003. She had previously developed three innovative schemes in the voluntary sector, including supporting women with forensic psychiatric support needs, a parent-led nursery and ex-offender accommodation. Sue has degrees in Psychology and Business Administration and a diploma in Forensic Mental Health and her voluntary work has included prison visiting, supporting people who are alcohol dependent and the Independent Living Association.
Peter Stanley – General Manager
Peter joined the Trust in 2000, initially as Manager of the Aldingbourne Country Centre and was promoted to General Manager in 2003. He has a background in commercial horticulture and operational management, overseeing considerable business growth, managing major capital projects and developing a nationwide distribution network. Peter has degrees in Applied Biology and Logistics and was winner of the Innovation Champion award from the University of Brighton in 2010.
Clive Owen – Head of Finance
Clive has a degree in Mechanical Engineering, but started his career as a Chartered Accountant with a firm of accountants in the City and later as Finance Manager for a London newspaper. Following a year travelling through Africa and the Far East, Clive worked in Brussels as Financial Controller for a US law firm before returning to England. He worked as a financial accountant for a building contractor before joining the Aldingbourne Trust in 2008.
Mick Cooper – Residential Services Manager
Mick joined the Trust in 1992 and has overseen the development of a range of housing options, from accommodation for people with 24 hour support to more flexible, preventative services. Mick has the Registered Manager award, is a qualified registered nurse and a qualified diabetes and medication trainer. Mick previously worked in learning disability NHS hospitals.
Michelle McKinley-Bell – Enterprise and Development Manager
Prior to joining us in 2002, Michelle had a successful career with supermarket multiples as a Training and Personnel Officer, Produce Manager and Customer Service Manager. She initially managed the Acorn, developing a range of community-based projects to support the employment of people with learning disabilities and now has responsibility for marketing, publicity and the project management of new enterprises. Michelle has a Certificate in Management.
Martin Botting – Organisational Development Manager
Martin is a new face in the third sector, having joined us in 2010. His role as our Organisational Development Manager is to improve the effectiveness of the Aldingbourne Trust to meet the challenges of the personalisation agenda and the economy. A business owner in his own right and previously National Training Manager at Signet Group PLC, Martin brings private sector experience and energy as we strive to become more innovative and forward thinking.
