Richard Swain in paid work at Budgens Selsey.
Tim Shervington is volunteering at Amberley Chalk Pits Museum on the Narrow Gauge Railway.
This is Tim needle gunning on the railway with a needle gun which hammers away at the rust so you get to the nice shiny metal underneath.
Tim recently passed his guards test which meant learning the rule book. His other duties include coupling and uncoupling the trains, changing the points, handing out tickets and waving the green flag. He also carries two red flags incase something happens and they need to stop the train.
Alma's Story:
Alma Hedinger has gained valuable experience in voluntary jobs over the last few years. She worked in the WRVS coffee shop for 18 months and still does shifts in the Bognor kitchen where she has been for 3 ½ years, and Scope for the past 3 years. Alma’s confidence grew through this work and she was keen to get a part time paid job.
She signed onto LAA when a vacancy arose for a cleaner at Sudley Road. She first completed a Health & Safety at Work course and successfully achieved an OCN certificate. She was assisted through the interview and job coaching process by Work Aid. She also received travel training and is now independent travelling to all her jobs.

Alma is enjoying her jobs and has a very positive attitude to work.
