Aldingbourne Trust

Donating

Much of our additional work relies upon the generous financial support of individuals and organisations. We would be very grateful if you would like to support us financially by making a donation to The Aldingbourne Trust.

Where there's a Will, there's a Way

Join those people who have decided to leave a gift in their Wills to The Aldingbourne Trust.

There are a few different kinds of gift you can leave in your Will. The most common are described below.

Residuary bequest

A gift of the remainder of the estate after all other bequests have been made and debts cleared is called a residuary bequest.

Pecuniary bequest

A gift of a fixed sum of money in your Will is called a pecuniary bequest. The value of pecuniary legacies will decrease over time, as the cost of living increases.

Specific bequest

A particular named item left as a gift in your Will is known as a specific bequest - for example, a piece of jewellery.

Contingent bequest

A gift in your Will that depends upon the occurrence of an event which may or may not happen is known legally as a contingent bequest. An example is a bequest to a charity which applies only if other beneficiaries named in the Will die before the testator (person who made the Will).

We are able to accept CAF donations and can claim tax refunds via the Gift Aid scheme. If you are a UK taxpayer, please ask us for a Gift Aid form so we can claim a tax rebate on your donation or click on the link below to download the form.

We need your help!

We are in the process of re-vamping our shop at Aldingbourne Country Centre which will be re-opening shortly with new stock from local craftsmen as well as our own produce.

We would welcome any display material such as wooden crates, fruit boxes, wooden display units, basketware, etc that would create a rustic country feel to our shop.

We are seeking volunteers to assist our clients to make craft items, such as greeting cards, to sell in the shop. In addition, we would welcome any donations or contributions of craft materials such as fabric, card, coloured paper, buttons, etc.

If you are interested in helping us in this area, please call Michelle McKinley-Bell on 01243 544607.

Also, if anyone has an interest or knowledge in building eco friendly houses using environmentally friendly materials, please contact us on 01243 544607.

Other ways of helping The Aldingbourne Trust

There are several ways that you can directly raise money to support our work.

Mobile phone and printer cartridge recycling

One way is to support our mobile phone and printer cartridge appeal (we are not able to accept EPSOM cartridges) we can raise money by recycling your old phones and ink cartridges.  As well as helping us, it will also help the environment by encouraging the re-use of raw materials and / or components.  For more information please see our Recycling Page.
