MOONRIDERS CYCLE LONDON TO BRIGHTON
Overnight Fri 29 June 2012

We invite you, your friends, family and colleagues to take part in the following Challenge. If it isn’t for you, please do tell other people about it – it is a fantastic opportunity to support us and to complete an amazing challenge! If you require any flyers or other information, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Thank you for your support!

Combining the iconic London to Brighton route with the unique sensation of night cycling; a mass participation night cycle open to riders of mixed abilities and paces; the thrill of riding on deserted roads illuminated only by torchlight; accomplished cyclists aim to complete the course in under four hours, others take a more leisurely pace!

Setting off from Alexandra Palace you'll pedal through eerily quiet London streets, past some of the capital’s most iconic landmarks before breaking out onto the open country roads of Surrey and Sussex. Pausing en-route for a hot-meal stop, riders aim to complete the 100km course just as the sun rises over Brighton Pier. Moonriders is the ultimate Capital to Coast night cycle, and you can support The Aldingbourne Trust by giving a few hours of your time in June 2012, jump in the saddle with some mates and have a whole load of fun in the process.

From a parachute jump to a running a marathon, there are so many different ways that people support the Aldingbourne Trust and we always try to be there to cheer them on if we can. If you feel like doing something adventurous or extreme to support the Trust, there are lots of ideas on the Charity Giving website to inspire you.
Alternatively, if you’d like to support us with a less energetic activity, here are a few ideas to get you started:

  • Donate the proceeds from a car boot sale
  • Hold a collection instead of sending Christmas cards
  • Hold a charity dress down day at work or school
  • Organise a cake or cookie sale
  • Hold a charity coffee morning
  • Organise a sports club charity tournament and donate the entry fees to the Trust
  • Hold a tombola stall or raffle at a local even
  • Visit how2fundraise for more ideas
You’re only limited by your imagination so, whatever activity you’ve got in mind or, if you need a little inspiration, contact us and we’ll see how we can help you to help us!
