Gift a donation to the Trust in your will
Making a will is your way of ensuring that the proceeds of your estate go the people and causes you care about.

Anyone can leave a legacy to the Aldingbourne Trust in their will and, no matter how small the gift, every bequest is important to us. There are different types of gift you can leave in your will and these are the most common:

Pecuniary legacy

A pecuniary legacy is a set sum of money that you can leave to individuals or charities. Pecuniary legacies can be index-linked so that the value of the gift increases with inflation; otherwise, the value of the bequest will decrease as the cost of living increases over time.

Residuary legacy

A residuary legacy is the remainder of your estate after all other monies have been paid out. Unless you specify how you would like the residue to be disposed of, the Government will decide where it is to be paid.

Specific legacy

A specific legacy represents a specific item or property, such a piece of jewellery or a house, that you can leave to an individual or charity.

We advise anyone making or updating a will to seek legal advice from a solicitor.
